Ex-Pak minister wins PoK poll while on UK bail in abuse probe
A former Pakistani minister, Rukhsar Ahmed, won an election in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir while on UK bail for sexual assault charges. He was arrested in the UK on suspicion of rape and child trafficking. Ahmed, affiliated with PM Shehbaz Sharif's party, failed to report to police as per bail conditions. UK police are investigating allegations from several women concerning child abuse in care homes in the 1990s.
